Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who is heading a delegation to Turkey, met with his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and ask for resumption of gas exports to Turkey.

The Iranian and Turkish foreign ministers discussed ways to compensate for the decline in trade between the two countries over the past four months due to Corona's restrictive regulations.

During the meeting, the Iranian Foreign Minister also stressed the need to resume gas exports and repairing the damaged section of the gas pipeline.

Agreement to hold the Astana Summit virtually in the coming weeks, and then to hold a face-to-face meeting in Tehran as soon as possible, negotiation on Syria, Yemen, Libya and the fight against terrorism were other topics discussed by the Foreign Ministers of Iran and Turkey in the two rounds of conversation.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has traveled to Ankara for a working visit and talks with his counterpart on the latest developments in bilateral relations and the most important regional and international issues.
